Niccole Bruno, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Niccole Bruno, our Chief of Staff, grew up in Queens, New York. She became interested in veterinary medicine at the age of 12 and would often feed the neighborhood stray dogs and cats. Shortly after, she began volunteering at an animal hospital in Hempstead, New York and her passion grew. She attended Tuskegee University graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 2002. She then went on to earn a DVM degree from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2006.
Following vet school, Dr. Bruno completed a one year medicine and surgical internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists. For 10 years she continued working in Long Island in high volume general practice hospitals. Her primary interests include endocrinology, renal disease, allergic management and veterinary dentistry.
David Dolan, DVM
Dr. David Dolan was raised in Houston through elementary school and then moved to New York City so that his mother could get a PhD at Columbia University. During that time he read All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot and at that point decided that he wanted to be a veterinarian. He set that goal in 7th grade and followed that path straight through vet school. On the way, he went to a private boarding school in upstate New York that had a private zoo! He took care of a pair of baby Stump-tailed Macaques, a Red-tailed Hawk that was caught in a pole trap and had to have his leg amputated, and bought a Mexican Red Headed Parrot named Mike.
Cherese Sullivan, DVM
Dr. Cherese Sullivan grew up in Rockville, Maryland, but as part of a Navy family, she has lived in Japan, Key West, Florida, and Hawaii as well. Currently Dr. Sullivan resides in Houston, Texas. She received an undergraduate degree from Penn State University and earned a DVM degree from Cornell University. Prior to joining the Companion Animal Hospital team, Dr. Sullivan has practiced in general & emergency practices, and shelter medicine. Her special interests include neurology and soft tissue surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Sullivan enjoys traveling, outdoor festivals, and watching sports. She also shares her home with a Jack Russell Terrier named, Quincy.
